MembershipMembership of IBAGS is open to all who have an interest in understanding the basal ganglia in health and disease. Members have considerably reduced registration fees for the triennial meeting New membersNew members should submit the membership application form with a short CV and list of recent publications to the Secretary or the President of IBAGS. New applications must be supported in writing by at least one Emeritus or Regular Member of the Society (not necessary for renewals). Student applicants should also include a copy of their student ID card and a letter from their supervisor confirming their status. The name of the candidate and of the supporter shall be placed on a list to be submitted to the Councillors for their mail vote. The candidate shall be elected to membership unless at least two Members of the Council cross the name from the list and give reasons for the rejection. The candidate shall be notified by mail of the acceptance, and membership shall become effective upon receipt of the triennial dues by the Treasurer - (Bylaws, Article IV, section 2). If you have not received a request by the end of January 2007, please enquire regarding your membership status from the Treasurer (ysmit01@emory.edu). Membership FeeCurrent triennial membership fee is $ 105 for Regular Members. Honorary and Student Members do not pay membership fees. |
